About The Position

The person selected will support effective delivery of core Human Resources services through efficient activities in all areas of Human Resources within the facility. Major areas of focus are administration of payroll, benefits, recruitment, and management and interpretation of policies and procedures, partnering with facility managers and supervisors, and assisting with HR projects. Assists Human Resource Manager, as needed. We are looking for candidates with 2-4 years of Human Resource Experience who bring creativity and ideas to help us continuously improve our processes and overall employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; HR certification preferred.
  • Manufacturing or plant experience strongly preferred.
  • Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ADP; ability to analyze data and generate reports. HRIS systems, timecard management, and payroll software
  • Other Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-building abilities; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, the hired candidate must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder. We can not sponsor Visas.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation & Benefits Administration:
  • Administration of the payroll processes and oversee employee benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Supports annual compensation cycle.
  • Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations.
  • Supports annual benefits open enrollment period at location. Arranges for distribution of materials from carriers; assists with communicating changes to employees and processes changes within deadlines.
  • Manages medical and other leaves of absence to include workers’ compensation leaves, FMLA tracking and monitoring and tracking STD/LTD.
  • Helps ensure employee understanding of benefit programs by proactively recommending and developing process improvements in materials and communications.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Support team member and management needs, questions, and processes.
  • Engage in complex employee relations issues as needed.
  • Conduct fact finding investigations and partners with HR Manager on resolution.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assists with preparation of annual affirmative action plan by ensuring requisitions are properly dispositioned and closed.
  • Conducts new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  • Guides employees on plan provisions so that individuals can be informed benefit decisions.
  • Conducts exit interviews.
  • Reporting:
  • Assists in evaluation of reports and results in relation to department goals and provides recommendations to the HR Manager for process improvements.
  • Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Policy & Compliance:
  • Ensures compliance with all required safety, environmental, quality and security guidelines, policies & regulations. Reporting and, whenever possible, correcting violations in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Assists with implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assists in administration of the employee handbook, policies and procedures manual.
  • Addresses employee’s questions regarding interpretation of company policies and regulations.
  • Assists with Front Desk duties and compliance with ITAR regulations.
  • Performance Management & Training & Development:
  • Organize and administer ongoing cross-functional (not role-specific) employee training programs.
  • Assists in administering performance management programs.
  • Performs other related HR duties as required and assigned.
