About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruits for hourly plant employees to find the correct fit within the Corvac culture. Completes onboarding for all new hires including paperwork, training, etc. Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity [https://www.thebalance.com/civil-rights-act-employment-1917922] (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) [https://www.thebalance.com/ada-employer-responsibilities-1918629], the Family and Medical Leave Act [https://www.thebalance.com/the-family-and-medical-leave-act-1918631](FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor [https://www.thebalance.com/what-is-the-u-s-department-of-labor-dol-1918578], worker compensation [https://www.thebalance.com/workers-compensation-1918294], the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits. Completes weekly payroll tasks for all hourly employees including job changes, friend of court documentation, benefit update, tax updates etc. Processes employment verification forms and other employee-related request forms as needed. Respond to HR inquiries from employees while maintaining a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale [https://www.thebalance.com/you-can-boost-employee-morale-1918107] and motivation. Maintain comprehensive understanding of both UAW contract and Corvac Code of Conduct and apply them in situations appropriately.  Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company. Provides day-to-day benefits administration services and assistance with Benefit Annual Enrollment. Maintains employee personnel files Perform other duties within scope as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred, or equivalent level of experience
  • 1-3 years of Human Resource Experience
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite of products and related computer applications.
  • Well-organized, accurate and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent communication and public relations skills.
