About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist I will provide essential administrative support to the Director of Human Resources. The HR Generalist I will provide coordination and/or general orientation to new staff; will work with fund-raising activities and other such duties as appropriate to position, manage recruitment and onboarding. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm Pay: $56,500.00-$60,000 (Pay is based off experience) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate general agency orientation and new hire paperwork for new staff; assure information for orientation books for all programs is current. Update VNA history with input from CEO as needed. Manage recruitment for clinical staffing needs Assist Director of HR with benefits administration and timely termination of benefits in coordination with payroll. Serve as a contact for staff to discuss personnel issues including compensation and benefits. Update job descriptions and performance review forms with management input. Complete payroll updates for each pay period, assuring all needed info has been provided to payroll by pre-determined deadlines and federal and state guidelines. Maintain personnel files and health files including disposal of obsolete personnel files in accordance with established records retention policies. Assist with other HR related tasks as needed, including back-up for Director of HR. Keep current with legal and technical developments in HR, assure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations pertaining to these areas as related to position. Complete performance review process timely, assuring accurate information is documented. Maintain accurate and confidential records and correspondence for all donations, contributions and prospective donors. Update database demographics with current information timely to provide needed information for mailings. In coordination with finance staff, cross reference monthly deposits to ensure accuracy of donations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a Human Resources with progressive duties around recruiting, benefits, employee relations, onboarding, new hire orientation.
  • Basic level knowledge of EMR (electronic medical records), Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, HRIS systems (preferably iSolve).
  • General knowledge of the onboarding process, along with a general understanding of state and federal employment law.
  • Knowledge of healthcare recruitment
