Human Resources Generalist I The Human Resources Generalist I performs HR related responsibilities at the tactical and professional level and will carry out duties in employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, recruitment/selection, development, and implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the company. Essential Functions Assists with the implementation of human resources initiatives and programs by providing services in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, departmental development, and recruitment Supports the HR Team with day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) Administers the processing and administration of LOA’s Conducts new-employee orientation and coordinates timely requisition of equipment and access Reviews employee time records for discrepancies and works with supervisors and managers to ensure timely and accurate updating of time records Performs meal and rest break audits for California law compliance, processing penalty pay and tracking of progressive disciplinary actions Assists with the handling employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing for non-exempt team members Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment Provides training for new and current employees on department systems and procedures Participates in the coordination of special company events Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Responsibilities
