Ready Seafood Company is seeking a Human Resources Director, to be based in their Saco, ME office.
Requirements
Bachelorâs degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
A minimum of 5 years of HR management experience; preferred experience with manufacturing or food production.
Proven ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with employees, managers, and crossâfunctional partners to support a positive workplace culture.
Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliant HR practices and guide leaders on workplace issues.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problemâsolving skills, with the ability to navigate conflict, manage details effectively, and deliver clear verbal and written information.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizationâs HRIS and talent management systems.
Ability to work onsite in the Saco, ME office and travel to other office locations as needed.

Responsibilities
Partners with the leadership team to support the organizationâs people needs and priorities.
Oversees HR team across all US entities with communication and support to Canadian HR team.
Provides support and guidance to HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
Supports and guides employee disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations while helping the company manage risk appropriately.
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
Monitors compensation and benefits practices and makes recommendations to ensure pay and benefits remain competitive and aligned with the organizationâs goals.
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees the compliant HR acquisition of new companies including onboarding of new staff into HRIS and educating new companies on Ready Seafood payroll/policies.
Oversees the benefits & wellness program, including annual open enrollment, plan selection, educational meetings, and administration, working closely with benefit broker.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Serve as the primary HR liaison to the parent company, providing quarterly reporting, and participating in scheduled monthly meetings to ensure alignment on people strategy, compliance, and organizational priorities.
