About The Position

The Director of Human Resources for SmartLight is a strategic and operational leader responsible for building and scaling HR practices that support a high-performing workforce operating in the healthcare data analytics space. This role ensures that our people systems—hiring, onboarding, retention, performance, and culture—are aligned with business goals and foster a supportive environment. In addition to being an operational and strategic leader, this is also a “hands-on” manager role in a busy, fast-paced, rapid-growing environment. This position is only eligible for legal residents of the United States of America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong command of full employee life-cycle employment
  • Strong experience dealing/communicating with all levels within an organization particularly with C-Suite.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and coaching skills
  • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Experience in tech, analytics, or high-growth environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Manage and develop a responsive, impactful HR Team ensuring processes are efficient and scalable to support rapid internal growth spurt.
  • Share in the recruiting and sourcing of high impact candidates
  • Ensure a seamless and smooth onboarding and offboarding
  • Manage annual performance Review cycle promoting accountability and growth
  • Drive learning and development initiatives, including leadership coaching
  • Define and evolve company culture through engagement programs and rituals
  • Manage employee relations with empathy, clarity, and legal compliance
  • Manage Immigration, Visa sponsorships and work authorizations
  • Manage, communicate and track Annual Open Enrollment
  • Manage all employee relations issues ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation across all HR functions
  • Own HR systems, policies, and documentation
