Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is seeking a HR Data and Payroll Specialist at our Home Office in Roseville, MN. The Human Resources Data and Payroll Specialist is responsible for centrally managing and monitoring HR data workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and employee position or compensation changes in accordance with PHS policy and regulatory compliance. This role serves as the first-line reviewer of HR transactions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance before final processing. The specialist coordinates with Site HR, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, and HRIS teams when discrepancies arise or when changes may have downstream impact. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of PHS pay policies, pay rules, and compensation practices to ensure transactions are processed correctly and aligned with organizational guidelines. Understand how HR transactions affect system configuration across HRIS, Payroll, Timekeeping, and Benefits modules, and identify when a change could create downstream impacts. Maintain general knowledge of relevant pay and benefit regulations to support accurate impact analysis and ensure appropriate handling of changes. Recognize when a change requires escalation due to policy, compliance, or system integrity concerns and follow the defined escalation path.
