Human Resources Customer Service Assistant
About The Position
The George Mason University Human Resources (HR) Office is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to serve as a non-student, part-time Customer Service Assistant. Applicants should be available for schedules from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please Note: Due to the nature of the confidential information this position works with, current Mason students CANNOT be considered for this position.
Requirements
- Applicants should desire to work in a team environment where priorities change rapidly and customer service and effective communication are considered essential.
- The selected candidate must have superior communication and customer service skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, ability to multitask and problem-solve, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to collaborate and communicate with diverse individuals with differing needs.
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience; data entry; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail and web navigation; and use of Web applications are all required competencies.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in an HR or university environment is strongly desired; as well as experience in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
- This position will provide courteous and professional customer service, in a busy front office environment, to the diverse and multicultural community of George Mason University visitors and staff.
- Other responsibilities include data entry and records management to support the New Employee Welcome Center.
