About The Position

Ada Bible Church is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the ministry of the church and its employees by performing administrative functions in a variety of HR areas of responsibility. You will work closely with our Director of Human Resources to coordinate people practices that help the church accomplish its organizational objectives and overall mission.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of work experience in a HR generalist or similar position
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Possesses knowledge of laws pertaining to employment and other HR-related matters
  • Possesses working knowledge of payroll systems and benefits administration
  • Has strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Has excellent problem solving skills and demonstrates good judgment
  • Is able to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work accordingly
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Is highly relational, able to interact with a variety of people and personalities
  • Committed Christian living a life of obedience to Christ
  • Willing to become a member within 90 days of hire and have beliefs consistent with our statement of faith

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Willingness and ability to obtain this certification within a year of hire may also be considered

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment activities including applicant sourcing, screening, evaluation, and selection
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to plan and schedule interview activities
  • Be the primary point of contact for applicants and ensure positive candidate experiences throughout the hiring process
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding including arranging for background checks, preparing new hire paperwork, and performing new hire orientation
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollments and be a resource for them when they have questions about benefits
  • Maintain employment information in HRIS, specifically in ADP and Rock databases
  • Work with Director of Human Resources to support supervisors and employees with performance or other workplace concerns
  • Maintain employee files and assist Director of Human Resources with documentation, filing, and policy & procedure compliance
  • Assist with managing worker's compensation claims
  • Administer FMLA and other leaves of absence in accordance with company policy and statutory requirements
  • Manage training resources and budgets, collaborate with managers to identify development needs, communicate learning opportunities organization‑wide, and model the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
  • Assist with various special projects as assigned
