We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Human Resources Coordinator with our Chemical Manufacturing Plant located in Gregory, Texas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize heavy workloads with accuracy and minimal supervision, meeting critical deadlines.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and exhibit flexibility when work assignments or priorities change.
  • Must have the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, when required.
  • Must have a strong sense of customer focus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.
  • Provide overall administrative support to Plant Manager and HR Department.
  • Serve as plant liaison for Workday, supporting all HRMS-related processes and inquiries.
  • Coordinate and lead employee activities, i.e., holiday party, service awards, etc.
  • Assist with special projects and events as requested by staff (area officials’ visits, Community Advisory Panel (CAP) meetings), etc.
  • Monitor and manage hourly employee performance evaluations and progression sheet.
  • Manage individual contribution requests and track status of community and charitable contribution budget.
  • Maintain personnel files and records in accordance with applicable laws and policies, etc.
  • Serve as Notary Public for the plant site.
  • Primary assembly point coordinator for the Administration Bldg.
  • Place orders for floral arrangements for funerals and hospitalizations of employees.
  • Serve as Test Administrator for hourly pre-employment testing.
  • Support the recruiting and onboarding process including coordinating and facilitating new hire orientation.
  • Maintain various weekly, monthly and annual reports which include running queries to generate required data.
  • Prepare metric reporting including, but not limited to headcount, attendance, leave administration, etc.
  • Participate in HESS initiatives by attending SEAT and other related safety and environmental activities.
  • Administer and communicate through OnSolve, the organization’s mass notification platform.
