Human Resources Coordinators are professional hosts responsible for helping with a variety of human resources-related tasks, including but not limited to records management, uniform management, scheduling, host events and helping to maintain positive host relations. Ideal candidates will have superior social, communication, writing, and organizational skills, and have a natural talent for helping others! Requirements

  • Minimum of 1- year of related work ex p erience in HR highly desired.
  • College education p referred but equivalent work ex p erience will also be considered
  • Ability to read, write, and s p eak fluent English; S p anish or other bilingual language skills are a p lus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to com p ly with Iowa Child Labor Laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable trans p ortation to and from work for your scheduled shift
  • Must p ossess exce p tional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, p roblems, issues, and concerns in a p ositive and p rofessional manner
  • Ability to p ortray a p ositive, p rofessional attitude
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and p rotect sensitive host data
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and p ersuasively with a wide range of diverse p ersonnel and guests
  • Must be p roficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and P ower P oint
  • Ability to use office technology and equi p ment, such as P C, software, and co p ier
  • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as p art of a tea m as well as inde p endently
  • Ability to remain seated for extended p eriods of time , while using a com p uter
  • Ability to stand or walk for long p eriods of time throughout the workday
  • Ability to occasionally stoo p , twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to carry, p ush, p ull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 p ounds or more

  • P revious e x p erience with utilizing centralized scheduling or workforce management p latforms highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Welcome hosts and guests with a smile and p ositive attitude!
  • P rofessionally and legally re p resent Adventureland to ensure continued com p liance with all federal, state, and local em p l o y ment laws
  • Distribute host uniforms and kee p track of inventory
  • Create host ID badges and name tags
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing initiatives throughout the season
  • Schedule host orientations and ensure all hosts com p lete the required onboarding activities
  • Conduct P ark tours for new hosts
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of exciting host events
  • Res p ond to host inquiries via p hone and email
  • Distribute p aychecks on a bi-weekly basis and answer inquiries related to p ay
  • Assist with timekee p ing for assigned de p artments
  • Review p ayroll and p roactively identifies errors
  • Assist with data entry into HRIS and Learning systems
  • Review and track com p liance with work p ermits for minors
  • Assist with p rocessing HR p a p erwork , host transactions, and terminations
  • Assist hosts with Workday navigation and p assword resets
  • Assist with scheduling de p artments using workforce management p latform, Quinyx
  • P erform co p ying, filing and various other administrative duties
  • All other duties assigned by leadershi p
  • Assist J1 International Students with questions, housing p ayments, p a p erwork p rocessing, etc.
  • Assist with new international student orientation sessions
  • Welcome new arrivals and hel p get them checked in and moved into housing
  • Assist with the p re p aration and cleaning of J1 housing locations
  • Hel p p re p are beds in the student housing facility p rior to move in
  • Assist students with submitting Social Security p a p erwork
  • Assist students with o p ening new bank accounts
  • Trans p ort J1 students to a p p roved destinations, when needed
  • Assist with addressing any concerns the students may have
  • Assist hosts with making doctor’s a p p ointments and trans p ort them to the doctor as needed
  • Determine housing deduction amounts for J1 room-and-board
