Requirements

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Polished, professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, human resources, or a related professional field
  • A genuine interest in people, culture, and employee experience

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel or hospitality experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new hire paperwork and conduct new hire onboardings
  • Create, maintain, and audit employee personnel files and filing systems (hourly level)
  • Support applicant background checks, motor vehicle checks, and SSN verification in accordance with company policies
  • Assist managers and supervisors with hiring processes and HR-related questions
  • Support maintenance of payroll records and conduct payroll backup audits
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records (including I-9s and interview documentation)
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns, assist in issue resolution, and escalate employee relations matters to the HR Manager
  • Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach alongside the HR Manager
  • Assist with TABC/Food Handler certification audits
  • Create employee flyers, collateral, and mass communications (rallies, notices, Vin It Wall updates, announcements, etc.)
  • Assist with birthday cards, recognition efforts, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Participate in the Coury Culture Committee, helping plan creative recognition and engagement activities
  • Support Coury Health initiatives and encourage employee participation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
