About The Position

At Regions, the Human Resources Operations Specialist performs a variety of operational tasks in support of programs and/or processes within the Human Resources aligned Centers of Expertise (COE’s). Primary Responsibilities Assists with the coordination of resources for supported programs and/or processes, including human capital as well as event space and related supplies (e.g. food/beverage, tools, etc.) when necessary Partners with managers to support program activities and contribute to logistical planning Monitors budgets and related processes such as expense and invoice tracking, associate payments, and reimbursements, ensuring timely and accurate transactions and adherence to Regions’ policies and guidelines Processes informational and other confidential forms and records Monitors department and program email boxes May intake requests and process documentation related to regulatory compliance and collaborate with related teams and/or associates (e.g. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc.) Resolves or escalates associate questions and requests May communicate directly with associates regarding processes affecting work-status and eligibility Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of Human Resources, administrative, or related experience
  • Ability to exercise good judgement concerning confidential information
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks and deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to assigned programs and/or processes (e.g. ADA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational (e.g. planning) skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g. Workday)
  • Knowledge of HR practices
