About The Position

At Regions the Human Resources Call Center Specialist provides centralized human resource services spanning payroll, benefits, relations, compensation, and other transactions. Associates at this level will have working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience. Primary Responsibilities Interacts with customers via telephone to answer questions and provide assistance in the completion of human resource transactions Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information Performs all work in accordance with established call/service center standards Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) year experience in human resources or a high volume call service center
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study may substitute for the experience
  • Ability to handle high volume of customer calls while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume setting
  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Knowledge of general human resources practices
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
