We are actively hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a key HR leader across multiple Flourish Research locations across California and Denver. This position is based onsite in Century City, Los Angeles. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic, hands-on HR partner, supporting site leadership and employees across multiple clinical research locations. This role focuses heavily on employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and organizational support while ensuring alignment with Flourish Research’s policies, values, and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site environment
  • Must be a subject matter expert in California employment law
  • Strong employee relations experience is required, including investigations and conflict resolution
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex and sensitive employment situations
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/HCM systems
  • Must be able to commute daily to the Century City office
  • Willingness to travel 20–30%, primarily within California, with occasional travel to Denver

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical research or healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for site leadership and employees across multiple Valkyrie/Flourish locations
  • Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, and offboarding
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and team development
  • Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee relations issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California labor law
  • Partner with site and regional leadership to identify workforce needs and implement strategic HR solutions aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to support recruiting, retention, and talent development initiatives
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with Flourish Research values
  • Utilize HR data and metrics to inform decisions and recommend process improvements
  • Support organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and HR projects across the network
  • Maintain consistent communication with leadership, employees, and corporate HR teams
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
