About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures alignment of business and HR strategies with service delivery. This role will provide solutions related to employee relations matters and strategic HR business needs in partnership with the manufacturing facilities. This role will act as the primary Human Resources contact responsible for Employee Relations, Recruiting, Training, Safety and HR Business Partner duties at the Rochester facility and support Corporate HR projects as directed. LOCATION: HARBEC an ADDMAN Group Company 358 Timothy Ln, Ontario, NY 14519 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provides Employee Relations expertise and guidance in manufacturing environments; handles employee questions, investigates issues, and recommends and tracks coaching and discipline. Ensures an excellent employee experience throughout the lifecycle of employment which includes onboarding and offboarding. Leads talent acquisition in the hiring of all positions at the Rochester facility. Performs outreach in support of community, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. Facilitates and delivers training on a variety of HR and safety topics. Analyzes and tracks employee relations trends to proactively identify and address areas of opportunity and improve employee engagement. Acts as part of the local leadership team and provides guidance and HR consultation to business leaders. Partners with various levels of leadership to identify and grow talent and technical capability for the business. Provides input and coaching to management team to support performance management and compensation processes, operational improvements, and problem-solving activities. Joins project teams in support of the broader HR team and business initiatives. Uses information systems to prepare and communicate metrics and quantitative data on HR and employee related activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows and administers all Company policies and procedures with good attendance. ITAR REQUIREMENTS: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated HR generalist skills including coaching / strategic consultation to business leaders.
  • Interviewing and talent assessment competencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; good presentation skills.
  • Must be able to deal with strict confidentiality.
  • Strategic thinking skills, including influence.
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate across a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to navigate technology platforms.
  • Brings a “Can-Do” approach, sense of urgency, maturity and professionalism.
  • 3-5 years of working in an office environment (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years applicable experience, which should include:
  • Participated in Talent Acquisition and orientation / onboarding process.
  • Employee relations and employee activities / engagement background.
  • Provided consultation to business leaders.
  • Participated in compensation review cycles.
  • Led investigations, administered discipline and performance management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Management, or related field.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree a plus.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or other designation a plus.
