This is an exciting opportunity to join the team supporting our rapidly expanding Charlotte, NC office to be the go-to person for all things people and culture oriented. This is a really fun position for an experienced Human Resources Generalist who thrives on change and enjoys getting involved across all HR functions – from benefits to recruiting, employee relations to employment law, compliance and so much more! The Role: Responsible for providing guidance and partnering with business leaders and employees in your region, and participating in the design, deployment and administration of effective Company-wide HR programs and projects. This includes but is not limited to: This position is located in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and is a 5-day in office schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a relevant discipline required
  • 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, Business Partner or similar. Experience in real estate, construction financial services, or technology is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and associated reporting, Rippling experience preferred.
  • Good business acumen and proven record in partnering with & coaching diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. A track record of effectively addressing sensitive/difficult employee situations with tact, discretion & confidentiality
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with demonstrable experience in effectively delivering on multiple priorities within agreed deadlines
  • General proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products: Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook, and intermediate or higher Excel skills required
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive insights and decision-making
  • Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws & regulations
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional team
  • Operate consistently with integrity and the highest ethical standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives is a plus
  • Comfort working with ATS operations, using systems like Greenhouse or other similar platforms

Responsibilities

  • Strategic partnership with on-site leadership, aligning with organizational goals and HR initiatives
  • Guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition in growing the Charlotte team e.g. assist in sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Partner on corporate HR initiatives in areas such as benefits, compensation, and engagement
  • Roll-out the performance review process, providing direction, coaching and responding to questions on objective setting, quarterly check-ins, career development and annual reviews
  • Coordinate with managers on accuracy in time management for hourly employees assisting with payroll and resolving timecard anomalies
  • Manage grievances and conflicts in a timely manner to investigate, document, recommend and implement appropriate resolutions
  • Facilitate effective and timely resolution of employee disciplinary issues, counselling both managers and employees. Collaborate with the CPO and external counsel as needed on complex employee relations matters.
  • Stay up to date on and monitor compliance with Federal, State and local employee related legislation e.g., state specific leave policies, non-competes, job posting criteria
  • Evaluate impact and propose updates to company policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Communicate and provide guidance on Company policies and programs.
  • Stay current on HR industry trends and best practices, including utilization of AI. Recommend innovative solutions to enhance HR effectiveness.
