About The Position

Overview Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. Responsibilities The Human Resources Business Partner (“HRBP”) assists HR Director/Manager with managing day-to-day operations and provides a wide variety of complex Human Resources support to all levels in the organization, ensuring the comprehensive administration of human resources policy and procedures. The position performs duties in a variety of functional core human resources areas including onboarding, employee/leader development, employee/labor relations, and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines. The HRBP will serve as a strategic partner to hospital leadership, providing expert guidance and support in all aspects of Human Resources Management. The HRBP will collaborate closely with department heads to align HR initiatives with hospital goals, ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture. Assists with disputes, investigations/grievances and recommends necessary resolution or disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or closely related field required.
  • 5 years’ experience in Human Resources required, with focus on employee relations and/or labor relations experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail.
  • Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR or relevant Human Resources certifications or advanced degree, preferred.
