The Human Resources Associate for the Leave Management Section (LMS) of the Sheriff’s Office provides professional level support for a variety of leave-related human resources functions. This role performs the full spectrum of leave case management duties, collaborates with employees and managers on medical, military, and related matters, manages leave in accordance with the FMLA, evaluates requests for modified duty or reasonable accommodation, and manages other employee leave related matters within the purview of the LMS (e.g., donations of leave, short- and long-term disability, military leave). The HR Associate works under limited supervision with considerable care and judgment in the handling of leave to ensure compliance with relevant Federal and State regulations, Office, and County policies.
