The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting with employee onboarding, maintaining personnel records, supporting compliance processes, and responding to general employee inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of administrative or HR-related experience.
  • Highly confidential and follow human resource protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing personnel files for new hires, filing paperwork and documents, tracking employee attendance records, preparing termination documentation.
  • Conduct pre-employment screening interviews, schedule interviews and meetings, prepare necessary documentation for scheduled interviews.
  • Support employee benefits administration, including assisting with enrollment, responding to employee inquiries, and facilitating the enrollment process.
  • Assist with reviewing employee timecards for accuracy and coordinating corrections between supervisors and management as needed.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including collecting required documentation
  • Ensure completion of I-9 forms and employment eligibility verification
  • Support employee engagement initiatives by assisting with company events, recognition programs, internal communications, and activities that promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure employee records are complete and compliant with federal and state regulations
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and internal communications
  • Assist with day-to-day HR administrative tasks and perform other HR and Office Admin related duties as assigned.
