About The Position

A full-time Human Resources Assistant position is currently available in our corporate office located in Weathersfield, CT. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Office experience
  • 1-2 years of HR experience
  • Proficiency entering data into databases and running reports.
  • Demonstrate considerable attention to detail.
  • Ability to use excel at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision, an independent worker.
  • Must possess patience and the ability to relate tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Workday is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support with the leave of absence process: draft FMLA paperwork, track leaves from start to end, ensure all paperwork is properly documented, field questions regarding leaves and loop in Sr. HR Generalist if needed.
  • Manage various reporting including benefits, leave of absence, payroll, and recruitment reports that must be completed on a weekly to monthly basis
  • Student Program: interface with the schools, onboard students, ensure student compliance, manage contracts and COIs
  • Mailing: mail out badges, onesies, welcome packages, and miscellaneous swag.
  • Maintain employee e-files.
  • Collect, organize, and process documents.
  • Complete unemployment claims.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department by answering incoming telephone calls and emails.
  • PRN staffing management.
  • Have a good understanding of and clearly communicate the company policies and procedures.
  • Have a good understanding of and clearly communicate state and federal employment laws.
  • Performs other HR and office duties as assigned.
