The Role Open Management is looking for a Human Resources Assistant (Remote – India) to support our growing team. This role will focus heavily on recruiting onsite team members across our U.S. property portfolio, while also supporting day-to-day HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong written and verbal English communication skills to effectively support U.S.-based managers and candidates. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with various computer systems, can manage multiple priorities, and takes initiative in a fast-paced, remote environment. Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience and location (paid through a third-party provider).

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (required)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with U.S.-based teams
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and general technology tools
  • Previous experience in recruiting, HR, or administrative support preferred

Responsibilities

  • Post and manage job listings across platforms (e.g., Indeed, Applicant Tracking Systems) for onsite roles such as Community Managers, Assistant Managers, and Maintenance Technicians
  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings (phone/video)
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers (scheduling, confirmations, follow-ups)
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and statuses within the ATS
  • Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Assist in drafting job descriptions and interview questions
  • Maintain and update employee records and internal trackers
  • Assist with onboarding coordination (documentation tracking, communication, system updates) in partnership with third-party providers
  • Support offboarding processes including documentation and internal updates
  • Assist with employment verifications and general HR inquiries
  • Organize and maintain digital HR files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Prepare reports and track HR data (headcount, recruiting metrics, etc.)
  • Manage HR inboxes and respond to employee and candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule meetings and interviews across multiple time zones
  • Prepare and format documents, letters, and internal communications
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems (Google Drive or similar)
  • Perform data entry, audits, and quality checks to ensure accuracy
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assign
