About The Position

The under the direction of the Human Resources Manager the Human Resources Assistant/Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department, assist with employee relations, event planning and other HR and administrative related functions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 1 year of experience in an administrative or HR role, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to confidentially handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment efforts for non-exempt production roles, including conducting phone screens, coordinating and participating in interviews, maintaining candidate communication, managing the applicant tracking system, and scheduling pre-employment screenings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring timely completion of onboarding documentation and compliance with company and legal requirements.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing internal HR communications.
  • Monitor employee attendance and maintain accurate records of tardiness and absences.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and recognition events.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including room setup, material preparation, and attendance tracking.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, filing, data entry, ordering office supplies, and supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related services, including cleaning, shredding, uniform services, and other vendor coordination needs.
