About The Position

Nox Metals is a technology company rebuilding how metal gets processed and delivered to American factories. We supply aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible. We need someone to own hiring and people operations as we scale from a small team to a company with multiple facilities across the country. You will: Own the full recruiting pipeline from sourcing to offer. Find factory operators, engineers, software developers, and sales people who match how we hire. Screen candidates fast and with high signal. You will know within minutes whether someone has the urgency, intelligence, and low ego we require. Build and maintain job postings, candidate tracking, and hiring workflows. Use AI tools aggressively to source, screen, and move faster than a traditional HR function. Handle onboarding so new hires are productive on day one. Own the employee experience. Benefits, compliance, handbooks, and making sure people have what they need to do their best work. Keep the team organized and the hiring pipeline full without being asked. You should be: Extremely proficient with AI tools. You use them for everything and you are 10x more efficient because of it. Someone who has recruited for both white collar and blue collar roles. Comfortable talking to a machinist and a software engineer in the same afternoon. Fast. Not eventually fast. Now fast. Organized enough to manage dozens of candidates across multiple roles without dropping anyone. High agency. You do not wait for someone to tell you a role needs to be filled. You see the gap and start sourcing. Low ego. You do the unglamorous work because it needs to get done. Obsessed with candidate experience. Every person who touches Nox during the hiring process should walk away impressed. Always suggesting something new. Better sourcing channels, better screening methods, better onboarding flows. No specific background required. We do not care if you have an HR certification or a degree in human resources. We care that you are fast, sharp, relentless, and can identify exceptional people. Experience in manufacturing, defense, or startup hiring is a plus. This role is full time, in person in Detroit.
