About The Position

DÔEN is seeking a detail-oriented and highly-responsive individual to manage and maintain our essential HR functions including payroll and related functions via an integrated HRIS platform. Our ideal candidate will play an integral role in facilitating a collaborative, high-performance, and values-led culture by managing and proactively contributing to the design of systems, policies and day-to-day needs in a manner that helps meet and elevate Company objectives. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial setting.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR, payroll administration, HRIS implementation or management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-state, specifically California and NY, payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with California labor laws.
  • Experience with state and federal taxation as well as deductions and withholdings as applicable.
  • Proficiency with Rippling preferred, but ADP, Workday, Paylocity or similar also considered.
  • Excel skills for reporting and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist payroll tax filings, year-end W-2 preparation, and related reporting.
  • Manage 1095 data collection and distribution.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, and related policies.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for our HRIS system.
  • Promptly provide financial or other reports consistent with Company objectives, in coordination with Finance and other departments.
  • Support system upgrades, implementations, and configuration changes.
  • Onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes.
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.
  • Provide first-line support for employee relations issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Distribution of bi-weekly HR newsletter highlighting people updates.
  • Ownership of birthdays, work anniversaries, and related people events.
  • Occasional employee event support.
