The Human Resource Specialist will report to the Vice President of Human Resource Programs. As part of both the Associates Services team in HR, this roll will be exposed to and gain experience in both HR operations along with being responsible for the overall management of the corporate office. The corporate office is in Grade A office space in the Galleria complex and is in easy walking distance of the Battery.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in either Human Resources in operations support, recruiting and/or as an HR Generalist.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience sourcing and engaging with candidates of varying experience levels and backgrounds for a wide range of roles.
  • Experience working with an HRIS.
  • Proactive self-starter, excited to take on new challenges and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional teamwork, adaptability, critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when dealing with sensitive personnel issues.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting for open SG&A positions including, sourcing and screening job applicants, interview, verifying references, processing background screens and onboarding new hire.
  • Partner and maintain relations with third-party recruiting firms to fill some positions.
  • Responsible for onboarding SG&A new hires, including ensuring all documentation is received and recorded in the Workday system.
  • Working cross-functionally to ensure an excellent new hire experience.
  • Responsible for maintaining and delivering the New Hire Orientation webinars for the U.S.
  • Coordinate with field HR professionals to ensure maintenance of employment records and data in the Workday HRIS meets state, federal and company document requirements.
  • Execute and process severance agreements in partnership with VP of Human Resource Programs and Director of Payroll.
  • Works with the VP of Human Resource Programs to facilitate wellness programs.
  • Prepares information for annual audits, surveys, tax returns and other compliance reporting.
  • Manage all HR legal records requests to ensure timely and accurate response.
  • Conduct background screens and employment verifications.
  • Review all unemployment claims and leaves of absence with third-party vendors.
  • Maintain and manage all HR files, including centralized I9 files for North America.
  • Responsible for companywide communications via Microsoft Outlook email distribution and mail merge.
  • Partner with the VP of Human Resource Programs to develop and deliver HR training material for N.A.
  • Creating and maintaining HR program documentation for the Zep HR team.
  • Support annual open enrollment execution, including planning, communication, and employee education.
  • Conduct Live and Virtual sessions to explain benefit options and changes.
  • Serve as primary contact and responsible for all benefit billing invoices in Concur and other vendor invoices as necessary.
