About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist administers day-to-day human resources functions in the areas of leave of absence management, employee relations, timekeeping, retention, interviewing, onboarding, training, and coaching supervisors. The position also supports colleagues by assisting with and resolving questions and concerns. The Human Resources Generalist also works as a team player by supporting other department colleagues with their job functions as necessary. Essential Responsibilities: Ensure overall performance and behaviors are consistent with Beckett Thermal Solutions’ Purpose Statement, Core Values, and Guiding Principles. Prepare, approve, and manage medical leaves of absence, accommodation requests, and other programs. Provide support to supervisors and managers in the resolution of issues of concern. Investigate colleague issues, gather information, provide recommendations, and prepare responses or follow up action. Review and process time and attendance for production colleagues on the timekeeping system. Support supervisors with follow-up action on the attendance policy. Collect, verify, and submit human resources, timekeeping, and payroll forms. Coordinate and present trainings on human resources topics as requested. Assist with pre-screening, hiring events, interviewing, and onboarding of new colleagues. Engage with community agencies and schools to promote open positions. Assist with coordinating colleague training and events. Assist colleagues with inquiries and seek to achieve a prompt resolution to their concerns. Provide statistical reports/data as requested Establish priorities for managing own work while staying on a focused, efficient path for achieving results. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualifications: Educational Requirements: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with similar responsibilities strongly preferred. Additional Qualifications: General knowledge and intermediate experience using Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to learn and use new software programs quickly and efficiently. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of fundamental aspects of human resources and Federal and State employment laws. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of colleague information, issues, and data. Ability to remain calm and cordial in difficult situations or interactions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to handle multiple priorities through consistent interruptions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interact well and relate with others at all levels within the company. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrates urgency in resolution of issues or requests and with following through on assigned work. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the colleague is frequently required to sit and talk or hear others in person, virtually, or by phone. The colleague is also frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms. The colleague must occasionally lift or move equipment, office products, or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions: This position typically works in an open office environment with regular or consistent interruptions or noise. The colleague is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with similar responsibilities strongly preferred.
