Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work. We are looking for a Human Factors intern to join our team for summer 2026. The goal of a Human Factors intern at Wisk is to help us plan the evaluations with test subjects, collect the data, process the data, and participate in the implementation of improvements. You will be part of the Human Factors Engineering team that plays a critical role in the design, testing and certification of Wisk’s Fleet Operation Center. Responsibilities: In this role you will be working closely with the Human Factors team, as well as with software engineers, product designers and test pilots. You will help us design systems that allow human operators to supervise safely and efficiently multiple aircraft simultaneously. You will collect data in our autonomy lab using various tools and methods, including: eye tracking, subjective workload scales, heart rate, and more.

Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a Masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Neuropsychology, Cognitive Psychology or Human-Machine Interaction
  • Previous experience in conducting quantitative studies/experiments
  • Previous experience in working with eye-tracking devices
  • Previous experience in collecting and processing physiological data in a lab, in particular heart rate, heart rate variability, or skin conductance
  • Basic level of understanding cognitive functions and cognitive neuropsychology, in particular attention and executive functions
  • Previous experience in preparing data sets for statistical analysis using tools such as SPSS, Stata, etc.
  • Attention to details
  • Responsibility and sense of ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in collecting data with iMotions
  • Some experience collecting and processing human workload and/or performance data in an aerospace context
  • Familiar with qualitative research methods
  • Some experience working with qualitative data analysis software, such as Atlas.ti, inVivo, etc.
