About The Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking an experienced Human Factors Engineer to support the VHA Veteran Family Member Program (VFMP) Modernization initiative. In this role, you will apply human‑centered design principles to evaluate and improve user‑facing and staff‑facing systems, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with real-world workflows. The Human Factors Engineer plays a critical role in enhancing usability and adoption by partnering closely with VA stakeholders within a complex federal healthcare modernization environment. Ansible is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in many arenas. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of national security, health care, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant HCD/HFE certification
  • 5+ years in human-centered design and usability
  • Ability to work without sponsorship in the US indefinitely
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and task analyses.
  • Provide detailed UX assessments and design recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to ensure user centric requirements.
  • Advocate for accessibility, workflow efficiency, and user-driven design improvements.
  • Deliver proactive insights to optimize the overall user experience.
