About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Human Factors Engineer to support PM FLRAA. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties: Supports the implementation of Human Systems Integration (HSI) for the MV-75 development and fielding. Support programmatic meetings and the administration of Soldier Touch Points (STP) user assessments. Provide Human Factors Engineering (HFE) expertise within the FLRAA Program Management Office (PMO). Integration of human considerations during development and informing the PMO of usability, operational utility, and life cycle ownership. Generate documents, reports, presentations, reviews of contractor-developed deliverables, staffing support within the FLRAA Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Working Groups (WGs). The implementation of special user assessments and early abbreviated maintainability demonstrations, with focus on input from pilots, non-rated crewmembers, maintainers, and passengers. Responsible for the management and coordination of the FLRAA PMOs Virtual Reality (VR) equipment and program. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS and 4 years of experience, or HS and 15 years of experience.
  • Background in Human Systems Integration and Human Factors Engineering.
  • Background in U.S. Army Aviation and Maintenance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • U.S. Army DAWIA Level III Logistician or Program Management Certification.
  • Prior experience with MV-22 or MV-75.
  • Human Factors Engineering Degree or certification.
  • Experience as a U.S. Army Aviator Flight Instructor
  • Experience as a U.S. Army Aviation Maintenance Officer.
