About The Position

The Health, Safety and Environmental Systems Manager will oversee the implementation and compliance with guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in the office and industrial settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, occupational safety & health, or related field required, master’s degree desirable.
  • CSHO or CSP certification required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and industrial settings at times.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Travel expectation, up to 30% of time.
  • Five years of related field experience required; PSM site experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal Safety and Environmental regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree desirable.
  • PSM site experience preferred.
  • Experience with ISO Standards, specifically ISO 45001:2018 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Manages HSE software systems, including Contractor/Client management system and safety system tools.
  • Develops, schedules and provides training to cover the Organization’s Integrated Management System, emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Develops and implements inspection and Industrial Hygiene sampling protocols and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections and sampling.
  • Inspects office locations and industrial sites to identify safety, health, and environmental risks; delivers reports to document inspection findings and recommendations for correction.
  • Conduct Compliance Audits to safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensures that safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
