About The Position

C2O Americas is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Lead to support the GPX LNG Export project in Sabine Pass, Texas. This position will play a vital role in upholding world-class safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding a strong safety culture throughout all construction, commissioning, and operational activities. The HSE Lead will work closely with project management, site teams, and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Required TWIC
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, or other high-hazard industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and process safety principles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading HSE programs on large industrial or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to influence safe behaviors and engage with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, NEBOSH, or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement project-specific HSE programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with C2O Americas and client standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, hazard analyses, and behavior-based safety observations to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Support incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies; track corrective actions through closure.
  • Provide HSE coaching and guidance to supervisors, field personnel, and contractors to reinforce safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, PHMSA, and LNG-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, emergency response drills, and safety briefings.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, metrics, and reporting for both internal and client requirements.
  • Participate in planning meetings, including SIMOPS, permit reviews, and readiness assessments.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through strong field presence, communication, and leadership.
