We have an immediate opening for a Health Physics Technician at our Metropolis, IL Facility. The Metropolis Site, located in Southeast Illinois, is a key manufacturing facility supporting the nuclear fuel cycle. Responsibilities

  • Compliance and review of site and Health Physics standard operating procedures.
  • Perform work tasks under the direction of Health Physics supervision as needed.
  • Radiological release survey of employees, product shipments, vehicles, tools, and equipment from the restricted area.
  • Collection, analysis, and reporting of results associated with surface contamination, airborne radioactivity, and plant effluent streams.
  • Quality assurance and control of analytical equipment operation and calibration.
  • Performance and documentation of industrial hygiene sampling for the purpose of performing hot work or entering confined spaces.
  • Radiological coverage during response to emergency conditions.
  • Support of routine USNRC inspections.
