HSE Advisor - Site Based
About The Position
Wood is recruiting for a HSSE Advisor to join its Operations business focusing on chemical manufacturing facilities small capital projects. This opportunity is onsite, based in Narrows, VA, United States. The HSSE Advisor supports the Project Manager in day-to-day safety administration and field/office safety operations for assigned projects. This role is responsible for performing compliance audits to ensure adherence to Celanese corporate and site safety standards, coordinating safety documentation and oversight, and supporting the implementation of a "zero injuries" culture. Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and proactively communicate safety status and needs to project leadership. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a safety-related role within an industrial setting
- Proven experience in safety compliance, audits, and documentation
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Celanese safety standards or similar industrial environments
- Certifications in occupational safety or industrial hygiene
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager with daily safety administration and coordination
- Perform compliance audits to ensure adherence to Celanese corporate and site safety standards
- Coordinate safety documentation and reporting across office and field operations
- Assist in implementing and maintaining a "zero injuries" safety culture
- Communicate safety status and updates to project managers and stakeholders
- Maintain strong client-facing communication and promote a proactive safety environment
