About The Position

This position works within the North America payroll team working on projects for on and off cycle payrolls, software operations, configuration, vendor and supplier interfaces and other technical and non-technical issues primarily in North America and some global troubleshooting as it relates to system configuration. Requirements

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with enterprise HRIS systems for data reporting, with specific preference for SAP and interfaces with external payroll vendors
  • Minimum 6 years of payroll experience with solid understanding of time and labor regulations across all 50 states and Puerto Rico, plus strong mathematical skills to research, analyze, and correct payroll data
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with proven relationship building and conflict resolution skills, capable of communicating effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, perform work with high accuracy, and maintain meticulous attention to detail in a payroll environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, continually changing, deadline-driven business environment while effectively managing multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and enterprise HRIS systems (preferably SAP) with experience interfacing to external payroll vendors such as NGA or ADP
  • Experience working in mid to large complex payroll environments with knowledge of payroll policies and practices across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada
  • Demonstrated experience in process documentation and improvement with strong attention to detail in payroll operations
  • Minimum 6 years of automated time & labor experience, preferably with eTime or Kronos systems, and knowledge of relevant regulations
  • Knowledge of Canadian time and labor regulations is a plus, as is experience with project management, system implementations, and upgrades

Responsibilities

  • Maintains time & labor compliance for North America legal requirements, works with third-party vendors on configuration for new requirements, and monitors systems/databases while troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Ensures all changes are successfully tested with results delivered to payroll and leadership before go-live, participates in system testing to identify system and user-interface issues, and maintains system configuration while submitting tickets for adjustments as required.
  • Assists with hardware needs including configuration, testing and troubleshooting, while also running and providing ad hoc payroll/timekeeping reports as needed.
  • Exchanges routine information with client project team members, partners with external vendors (ADP, Deloitte, etc.), and provides subject matter expert (SME) support and historical knowledge for system integrations and acquisitions.
  • Supports HR and Payroll Departments' day-to-day operations and projects, with additional responsibilities potentially added at manager's discretion.
