About The Position

Oversees the administration and optimization of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Ensures the integrity, security, and effectiveness of HR data systems that support human resources, payroll, benefits, and organizational reporting. Leads system configuration, process improvements, reporting analytics, and cross-departmental system integrations while supervising HRIS staff. Management Scope: Manages exempt staff.

Requirements

  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or in a job-related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in HRIS administration, HR data management, or HR technology systems, including two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Skilled in the use of standard software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze narrative and statistical data; analyze problems, consider options, formulate strategies, and make practical recommendations; interpret, and apply procedures, rules, and laws.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of principles of human resource management and practices and state and federal laws pertaining to fair employment practices, and equal employment opportunity.
  • Ability to manage multiple system projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's Human Resources Information System.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on HR systems and related technologies.
  • Leads the planning, implementation, testing, and deployment of HRIS system upgrades, modules, and integrations.
  • Evaluates HR technology needs and recommends system improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline HR processes through system automation and technology solutions.
  • Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of HR data.
  • Oversees HRIS data governance policies and procedures.
  • Establishes procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data.
  • Develops and maintains complex reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support organizational decision-making.
  • Leads HRIS-related projects including system implementations, integrations, and process redesign initiatives.
  • Collaborates with IT, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and other departments on system enhancements and troubleshooting.
  • Provides data analysis and reporting to executive leadership, HR leadership, and other departments.
  • Prepares reports pertaining to compensation and HRIS.
  • Ensure HRIS processes comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as organizational policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
