The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience and can translate business requirements into scalable system solutions. This role supports configuration, testing, enhancement delivery, and troubleshooting across Workday HCM, with a focus on advanced compensation, compensation, and performance/talent processes. Requirements

  • 2–3 years of Workday configuration experience, including Advanced Compensation and Compensation.
  • Experience with business processes, calculated fields, eligibility rules, and EIBs.
  • Understanding compensation processes (merit cycles, bonus programs, budgeting, job/grade architecture).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and testing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across HR and technical teams with excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Pro certification in Compensation, Advanced Compensation, or Talent, Performance.
  • Experience with report writing (Advanced, Matrix, and Composite).

Responsibilities

  • Workday Advanced Compensation & Compensation Configure and support Advanced Compensation processes, including: Merit, Bonus, and Stock plans
  • Compensation Review setup and templates
  • Eligibility rules, configuration groups, and security for compensation cycles
  • Guidelines, proration, and budget pools
  • Supervisory org assignment and validation of compensation events
  • Assist with annual and off cycle compensation event preparation, testing, and execution.
  • Compensation event preparation, testing, and execution.
  • Support compensation reporting, audit tracking, and cycle close activities.
  • Configure and maintain Compensation components including compensation plans, grade profiles, allowance plans, and onetime payments.
  • Talent & Performance Configuration Configure and support Performance and Talent modules including goals, performance reviews, midyear check-in, and Talent functionality.
  • Configure performance review templates, steps, routing, ratings, and calibration processes.
  • Maintain business processes, condition rules, custom notifications, and supporting data structures across Talent & Performance.
  • System Configuration & Support Design, configure, test, and deploy Workday enhancements for Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Talent & Performance.
  • Create and maintain calculated fields, business processes, EIB integrations, and related logic.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support Workday biannual release review and execute regression testing for impacted functionality.
  • Data, Reporting & Testing Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics related to compensation and talent.
  • Create and execute test scripts for configuration changes and compensation cycles.
  • Maintain process documentation, configuration documentation, and operational job aids.
  • Partnership Partner with HR to understand needs and provide Workday expertise.
  • Provide Tier 2 Workday support for comp, talent, and performance processes.
  • Support training development, communication, and rollout of new features or processes.
