HRIS Analyst III The HRIS Analyst III provides functional and technical support across various applications for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) function. This role will collaborate with HR, IT and Finance to plan, design, develop, test and deploy HR technology solutions for use across Cars Commerce. The incumbent in this role will work to ensure that our HRIS platform remains up-to-date, accurate and secure, and that all HR-related technology and business processes are efficient, effective and meet our organization's needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related HR or IT field or equivalent business experience.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience using common HRIS/HCM industry platforms ( Workday, UKG, ADP, Oracle, etc.) of which at least 2 years of experience is with Workday
  • Experience delivering and managing end-to-end Employee and Manager Self-Service functionality; includes related HR functionality and business processes relating to the Workday applications noted in above in “Responsibilities”.
  • Experience managing HRIS/Workday security administration, system configuration, integrations, testing and report configuration and analytics
  • Strong functional familiarity with Google Suites and / or Microsoft Office Suite products including a very high degree of comfort using Microsoft Excel and / or Google Sheets
  • Strong project, process and time management skills
  • Demonstrated comfort within the Human Resources function and with related policies, processes, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • A refined ability to diagnose technical and process related problems and then recommend / implement appropriate remedies.
  • A relentless focus on process improvement; including design, development and implementation of highly efficient and refined HR business processes and programs.
  • A deep commitment / connection to HR customers and partners; adept at working cross-functionally across HR, Finance and Technology to deliver the highest quality HR products and services

Responsibilities

  • Workday System Expertise and Administration: serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Workday functionality, including HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence and Time-Tracking, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Reporting.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration and maintenance of HR systems, troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain / manage Workday security; configure, maintain, and modify existing user security roles, or create new roles to support HR business processes while ensuring data privacy and protection.
  • Continuously assess and review HR system functionality to identify improvements and new features, troubleshoot and test resolutions, and develop/deliver end-user training materials.
  • System Implementation and optimization; act as the primary liaison to IT and serve as the project manager for planning, implementation, and testing of formal semi-annual system releases.
  • Gather and define business requirements, translate them into system configurations, test, and implement new or updated business processes; document and communicate relevant procedures.
  • Represent the HRIS team on cross-functional, technology-related projects, including system implementations, integrations, enhancements, configuration, business process/workflow updates, and system notifications/reporting.
  • Data Management, Reporting, and Compliance; work with vendors to develop and monitor Workday integrations and data feeds (import/export capabilities and reporting), ensuring proper functioning and resolving any issues.
  • Generate required annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for government and legal compliance (e.g., EEO-1, JOLT, Illinois EPRC).
  • Manage IT audit and quality control processes to maintain the data integrity and security of the HRIS.
  • Vendor and Technology Management; Maintain vendor relationships and assess the efficacy and relevance of new product features and releases.
  • Stay current on new technology, industry trends, techniques, and best practices; recommend changes and updates to technology, procedures as processes as needed.
  • Gather and maintain appropriate documentation for internal controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as required.
