About The Position

The Administration Generalist 2 supports the HR Information Systems (HRIS) department by supporting HR processes across the enterprise. Performs as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such researching and responding to customer emails, processing high volume of mail, logging into the systems and filing the documents. Performs a variety of general personnel tasks in such areas as employee records, benefits, education/training, and employment. Maintains personnel records, collects and compiles sensitive and confidential personnel data requests. Complete regulatory data requests in a timely manner. Manage and maintain retention of physical documents. Manages business requests for legal department, and DOD. Reviews business requests and ensures accuracy before loading into the systems. Perform employment and unemployment verifications. Generates reports and using Excel manipulates the output into the final deliverable excel file. Enhance processes through Information Technology initiatives – ie developing training guides, leading training for the business.· Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. Problem Solving provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned. Represents organizational unit on administrative matters. Recommends, interprets, and/or implements company and internal administrative policies and procedures. Performs as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas as finance, human resources, purchasing, research and development. May prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
  • Ability to work independently
  • Works well under stringent time constraints
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR processes (recruiting, compensation, employee lifecycle).
  • Hands-on, self-starter who is capable and willing to learn and grow with the business.
  • Detail and results oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and under short turnaround times.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other HRIS platforms is preferred.
