About The Position

The HR Systems Analyst II has advanced knowledge of the HR (People) systems and related processes. This includes the HCM/HRIS and other People related systems. The primary responsibilities for the Analyst II include progressive support, administration, maintenance, configuration, securities, and data integrity of the HR systems. Other areas of support include upgrades, refreshes, implementations and integrations with other HR and company systems. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists other subject matter experts with solutioning. Additional focus for this position includes moderate to complex reporting writing/solutions and analyzing data flows to suggest process improvement opportunities utilizing automation.

Requirements

  • Combination of Education and Experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant functional experience with HCM/HRIS system design, configuration, administration, implementation, integrations, data security and user access/securities within an HR environment and/or IT experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience with moderate to complex report writing/solutions and data analysis required, preferably in Cognos Analytics.
  • Proficient in Excel, utilizing advanced calculations.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR/CP certification.
  • Experience with UKG Pro HCM/HRIS.
  • Experience with system implementations and integrations.
  • Experience with HCM/HRIS system design, data security and user access within an HR environment.
  • Experience with data queries, complex reporting solutions and data analysis required, preferably in Cognos Analytics and Tableau.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Time Management/Organization– Ability to schedule own calendar, prioritize tasks completing high impact items first, and completing tasks on time, while remaining organized and focus on detail. Able to prioritize work with little supervision. Participate in setting deadline and meets the deadlines without needing to revise the dates. Need minimum assistance with resolving own band-with issues. Able to multi-task on daily tasks and multiple projects, while remaining organized/detailed oriented.
  • Program Management - Ability to research, create, plan, execute, and maintain specific goals and meet specific success criteria on specified projects. Represent HR Systems team on projects, integrations, business process designs, audits and automation solutions with little to no direction. Provide HR Systems expertise to ensure project on track in the area of HR systems. Able to offer solutions options.
  • Relationships and Communications – Ability to interact with internal and external contacts in-person, via phone, email, jabber, etc. Respond effectively to employee through Director level. Develop professional working relationships with department leaders. Create targeted communications for educational/informational and change management purposes.
  • Problem Solving – Ability to pinpoint the issue, research, analyze, gather data, make recommendation put them into action. Identify issues and able to resolve routine to intermediate issues/discrepancies as well as offer preventative measures and permanent solutions. Interact with Software support with minimal assistance/direction for intermediate to complex issues.
  • Autonomy – Ability to make own choices and decisions on tasks and responsibilities in deciding the best way to get the work successfully completed. Use autonomy on basic to moderate requests and tasks. May need guidance on moderate to complex tasks. Offer solutions/recommendations on moderate tasks.
  • Technical Skills- System knowledge, understanding of system securities, reporting capabilities. Intermediate application in System configurations and maintenance, Platform configuration, import templates, Security provisioning, reporting with calculations, utilization Event Studio, workflow management. Moderate knowledge of how the systems integrate with other systems.
  • AI Automation, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Exposure to AI-driven automation in HR systems (e.g., automating workflows, data entry, or reporting). Familiarity with AI-powered platforms or tools (such as Power Automate or Microsoft Copilot). Exposure to identifying and supporting process improvements using AI or automation solutions. Basic experience with designing and maintaining SharePoint sites, lists, and permissions for HR or business use.
  • Development/Continuous Learning- Initiative taken to stay up on system functionality, current trends, networking and software community involvement. Take initiative to pursue classes, webcasts, courses and participates with Software communities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates understanding and support of the People Services Culture by embodying it in almost all interactions, even in tough times, with internal and external customers.
  • Utilizes solid understanding of the HR Systems, maintains HCM/HRIS and other People related system tables, configurations, and data integrity with limited direction. Analyzes, implements and monitors, any product-related changes, with minimal direction.
  • Support implementation of additional People Services systems, including defining data structures, system configurations and performing on-going maintenance to support business processes.
  • Documents process and results and uses project management skills to participate and recommend solutions on project teams.
  • Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of complex reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting methods, primarily Cognos Analytics. Utilizes Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup and calculations to validate, format and produce data/reporting.
  • Recommends methods for leveraging system functionality to suggest business process improvements across the People Services functions.
  • Monitors system vendor site for reported bugs, fixes, and new enhancements.
  • Assigns the defined HCM/HRIS system user role and access provisioning to define what roles employees and contractors will be granted and recommends changes and improvements and needed.
  • Leads periodic audits to ensure data is regularly reviewed, and provides guidance to users on system security and capabilities. Has intermediate SOX compliance understanding of processes to ensure access remains in compliance with SOX guidelines and recommend changes to improve the maintenance of access. Interacts with Internal and external auditors as participant in audit or to respond to requests.
  • Provides suggestions/changes to processes to ensure effective negotiations of contracts, deliverables, and timelines for vendors, including day-to-day relationships with IT, People Services, internal end-users, vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Researches available resources to maintain awareness of current trends in HR systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technology updates and releases.
  • Assists in system upgrades, module implementations and external integration projects by providing key knowledge of system functionality including requirements gathering and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provides customer support for intermediate systems issues and troubleshooting.
