About The Position

Serves as a specialist who optimizes Point of Service Collection efforts for the organization by fully utilizing IT systems. Responsible for Real Time Eligibility, Benefits Filing, and calculation of Patient Financial Responsibility. Functions as project facilitator evaluating and acquiring resources necessary for the timely completion of projects. Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in information systems with client server application, programming or applications analysis or equivalent, such as business analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of application systems and analyst tools.
  • 1 year project management experience.
  • Must obtain Epic certification in Eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Maintains KPIs for system effectiveness in areas related to RTE and Point of Service Collections.
  • Ensures accurate benefit filing and patient responsibility calculations for all encounters.
  • Aggressively and independently identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Consults with operations on continues improvement of workflows to fully utilize Epic functionality.
  • Works with operational counterparts to prioritize and approve enhancements.
  • Primary point of contact for clearinghouse.
  • Actively pursues deeper integration with the clearing house to maximize the value of this relationship.
  • Serves as the interface lead for the Patient Access Team, leading the technical efforts for any Patient Access owned interfaces.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with others effectively within and outside the department; actively contributes to morale and teamwork; maintains positive professional relationships with customers at all times.
  • Collaborates with team members to successfully complete assigned tasks, shares knowledge openly.
  • Communications are clear, concise, politically and culturally sensitive; sent to the right people and interval per project plan or support need.
  • Stays informed of and supports organizational and departmental goals.
  • Maintains current knowledge of software; actively researches project requirements and provides guidance on direction to support customer efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Shares on call and downtime support responsibilities with the Patient Access Team.
