About The Position

The HR Support Specialist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department.

Requirements

  • High School Required.
  • Prior experience with basic HR functions required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge about the disease of alcohol addiction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining up-to-date files, records, and documentation.
  • Serves as a resource to answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Maintains and processes the results of all FBI/BCI criminal checks.
  • Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding as needed.
  • Serves as support staff for members of the human resources department.
  • Responsible for the daily distribution of agency mail.
  • Assists with other department functions as needed and assigned.
