Therapeutic Support Specialist - $23.28/Hr.

Toomey Residential and Community Services is seeking a behavioral health professional to join our expanding Children and Family Treatment and Support Services team serving children/youth, ages birth to 21, and their families in Onondaga County.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field and one year of related experience with Children's mental health, substance abuse, and/or foster care, OR Bachelor degree with 3 years of experience in children’s mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, knowledge of best practices working with children and families and demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License with reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Provide children and families with supportive counseling and psychoeducation in regards to mental health diagnoses and treatment
- Provide rehabilitative supports and crisis management and avoidance services as necessary
- Carry full caseload and provide services consistent with agency productivity standards
- Develop and implement strengths-based treatment plans and conduct reviews to monitor progress
- Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner in the EHR
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Work collaboratively with other staff and outside service providers
- Make referrals as needed
- Attend supervision and staff meetings
