We are seeking an HR Specialist to join our Human Resources Consulting team to provide HR support to our clients. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional who is interested in broadening their HR experience and will provide the right individual the opportunity to learn and grow their HR skill set as a member of our collaborative Human Resources Consulting team. This is a remote role, unless someone lives within convenient commuting distance to our Norwalk, CT office and would then be hybrid.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Resourceful, detail oriented and highly organized approach
  • Ability to communicate successfully with clients and co-workers
  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge and comprehension of employment laws or HR related policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Auditing, correcting and maintaining physical and digital employee documents and files
  • Administration of benefits, including monthly benefit reconciliations, enrollments/terms from client systems and benefit platforms, and answering employee questions
  • Employee onboarding, including offer letter generation and processing new hire paperwork
  • Termination administration
  • HRIS support - working in various systems
  • Supporting our senior HR team as needed. Including but not limited to; leave of absence administration (LOA, FMLA, PFL, etc.), employee relations and other duties as assigned
  • Open enrollment administration
  • Recruitment support
  • Compliance support and audits
