About The Position

We’re looking for an HR Specialist / Office Manager to help keep our people operations and multiple offices running smoothly as we grow. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role for someone who enjoys being the go-to person for day-to-day HR needs while also making sure the office experience is organized, welcoming, and efficient. You’ll partner closely with leadership and employees across the company, and you’ll have real ownership over core HR processes and office operations. This is a great role for someone who likes variety, cares about employee experience, and wants to grow with a startup.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in an HR, People Ops, Office Manager, or similar role (startup or small company experience a plus)
  • Comfort working in an HRIS (Rippling experience is a strong plus)
  • Familiarity with basic HR processes: onboarding/offboarding, benefits coordination, performance cycles, employee records
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, professional, and approachable communication style
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • A proactive, can-do mindset — you see what needs doing and take initiative
  • Willingness to be in the NYC office as needed to support the team

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee data and records in our HRIS (Rippling)
  • Own onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire setup, documentation, and coordination across teams
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and HR processes
  • Coordinate benefits administration in partnership with our external benefits broker (enrollments, changes, open enrollment support)
  • Support and help administer the annual performance review and feedback cycles
  • Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and internal documentation
  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee relations questions and concerns, providing guidance, maintaining confidentiality, and escalating issues appropriately
  • Ensure HR processes are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local requirements (with support as needed)
  • Oversee US offices operations, including mail, supplies, organization, and general upkeep.
  • Manage company swag ordering and distribution
  • Coordinate employee travel bookings and logistics as needed
  • Help plan and support in-office meetings, team events, and occasional offsites
  • Act as a friendly, helpful presence for employees when they’re in the office

Benefits

  • Salary band and bonus or commission (if applicable) are competitive
  • Comprehensive packages, including healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Opportunities for career growth and development in an innovative and expanded opportunity
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment
