About The Position

HR Senior Supervisor – California (Hybrid/On-Site Depending on Company Needs) Company: BTA About Us BTA is a provider of high-quality therapeutic services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are looking for an experienced HR Senior Supervisor to support and oversee our Human Resources operations in California. This role is essential to ensuring compliance, strengthening HR processes, and supporting our growing team. Position Summary The HR Senior Supervisor will oversee day-to-day HR operations and ensure compliance with California employment laws and organizational policies. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions while supporting staff and internal departments. Knowledge of California labor laws is ideal but not mandatory; candidates with strong HR leadership experience and willingness to learn will be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of Human Resources experience; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong Familiarity with California labor laws.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, education, or behavioral services is a plus.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paycom) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the HR team across various functions.
  • Oversee the full HR process, including but not limited to:
  • Recruitment & Hiring
  • Onboarding
  • Employee Relations
  • Performance Reviews
  • HR Compliance & Documentation
  • Personnel File Management
  • Offboarding
  • Ensure adherence to California state regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide guidance to employees and leaders on HR matters.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Partner with leadership to support organizational needs and culture initiatives.
  • Support payroll coordination and timekeeping verification.
  • Oversee credentialing, background checks, and required certifications.
  • Assist in investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
