About The Position

Your Role: Responsible for implementing and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the group benefits programs (i.e., group health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, legal plan, critical illness, and cancer insurance). Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the defined benefit plan, which can include colleague/retiree meetings, pension calculations, departmental liaison with Finance and pension plan consultants. Assists Director, Compensation and Benefits and Chief Human Resources Officer/Vice President [Chief HR Officer/VP, JC: 005201] with benefits programs to support the mission and strategic goals. Provides support to compensation, retirement, and human resources functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field . Human Resources (HR) may substitute directly related professional experience for required education on a 1-year:1-year basis.
  • Three (3) years of job-related experience, including general benefits
  • Strong expertise in benefits, familiarity with regulatory agencies, state and federal laws and requirements for all areas of benefits administration and compliance
  • Strong employee relations and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and/or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) credential from World at Work.
