About The Position

We’re looking for an HR & Recruitment Specialist who is people-first, detail-driven, and ready to manage the full employee lifecycle — from hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), caregivers, and team members to onboarding, benefits coordination, and ongoing HR operations. You’ll partner with our operations team to ensure caregivers and team members are recruited, credentialed, and placed effectively. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

  • Experience in recruiting, HR operations, benefits administration, or administrative coordination
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal
  • Highly organized with attention to detail in a high-volume environment
  • Comfortable with HR software (BambooHR or similar) and Google/Windows platforms
  • Must be cleared through Oregon’s Background Check Unit (BCU)
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements preferred
  • Familiarity with Oregon employment law and BOLI regulations preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred but not required

  • Evaluate candidates for skills, experience, role fit, and alignment with our mission
  • Make hiring recommendations, prepare offers, and communicate with applicants
  • Staff hiring events and job fairs in partnership with our community outreach team
  • Move candidates efficiently through hiring and onboarding to meet staffing needs
  • Lead onboarding — paperwork, background checks, credentialing, and compliance
  • Coordinate caregiver placement with our intake and matching teams
  • Ensure all documentation meets Oregon regulatory standards
  • Administer benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, Paid Leave Oregon) and track leave balances
  • Maintain employee records in BambooHR, reconcile with our scheduling system, and ensure data integrity across both platforms
  • Support employee questions, assist with issue resolution, and conduct exit interviews
  • Prepare internal communications on policy and compliance updates
  • Track the employee referral program and associated bonuses
