Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the HR Recruiter/Generalist is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing recruitment efforts and selection processes for hospital personnel. This position will serve as a vital member of the Human Resources department and will assist in developing and maintaining a proactive recruitment process consistent with the hospitals overall mission and goals. This position will also provide confidential administrative support to the Human Resources Director and department on a variety of duties including but not limited to, maintaining the accuracy of employee data and personnel files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • One to three years’ experience in a human resources generalist and/or administrative position, preferably in the behavioral health field or a related healthcare industry.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to maintain accuracy of information/documentation.
  • Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of departmental and personnel policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of effective interviewing techniques.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to self-motivate, handle multiple tasks, meet established targets, and work within critical deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Recruitment experience preferred.
