Human Resources ensures regulatory compliance, mitigates risk, strengthens accountability, and promotes an engaged workforce aligned with the Authority’s mission and values. The Authority is currently recruiting a part-time HR Receptionist to join Georgia World Congress Center. The Part-Time HR Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the Human Resources Department at the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA). This role is responsible for providing front-desk reception, administrative support, and customer service to employees, applicants, and visitors while supporting daily HR operations. The HR Receptionist contributes to a professional, welcoming environment and ensures accurate handling of inquiries, documentation, and basic HR processes. Ideal candidates will share our values of authenticity, accountability, and teamwork while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position. Candidates under final consideration will be required to undergo a criminal history evaluation prior to employment.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn HR systems and tools.
  • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to changing needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a human resources or office environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet employees, applicants, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the Human Resources Department.
  • Answer and route incoming calls, emails, and general HR inquiries to appropriate team members.
  • Support HR administrative functions, including data entry, document preparation, filing, and record maintenance.
  • Schedule interviews, meetings, and conference rooms as requested by HR staff.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries for the Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and applicant information.
  • Maintain the reception area and shared HR spaces to ensure a professional and organized appearance.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR/Talent team, including special projects as assigned.
